This Omega Speedmaster (reference 105.012-65) features a stepped dial, and an applied Omega logo. It is in unbelievably pristine condition and is a rare specimen. The watch appears to be unpolished and has its original crown, which is uncommon as most have been replaced during service. Just serviced so that it is in running condition, this vintage collector鈥檚 item watch is ready to be gifted or worn today! Pictures are taken under professional lighting and have been magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. All of the original boxes, paperwork, registers, price tags, original receipt dated 12/31/1966, and copy of service receipt dated 6/30/2022 included with purchase.

The Omega Speedmaster was introduced in 1957, initially created for automotive racecar driving. However, it would reach iconic status by eventually reaching spaceflight qualification when it was chosen for the Apollo missions without the need for tests. The model was worn by Neil Amstrong during his Apollo 11 mission and is known today as the original Moonwatch. The first of the Professional models, the present watch features the correct dot over ninety bezel. The reference 105.012 was the first asymmetrical case to be released in the Speedmaster line throughout 1963-1966. With a creative and technical mind-set, the 105.012 introduced a new Huguenin Fr猫res (HF) case with integrated crown guards, featuring the famed case maker鈥檚 signature twisted lugs and short wide chronograph pushers. It is powered by the highly admired calibre .321, which was recently re-released to excitement of many Speedy lovers.
